Why boudoir?

It’s as much a question for me as it is for you! Since starting ALT, it’s a question I’ve encountered many times. Boudoir is already a niche to get into, and as a male photographer shooting in a unique style, it can’t be because of business sense!

My truth is that I just want to make people happy. The world today is divided and dark and, frankly, I don’t like it. And I don’t have any answers on how to fix it! So I want to do my small part to make the world a happier place. While I was thinking on what I could do, my wife came up with the idea of boudoir focused on often-marginalized people. The idea resonated with me to the point that I made a whole business around it!

Boudoir is a great experience of self-love. It’s taking ownership of your own body and sexuality and saying “Yes, this is me, and I’m great.” I love it as an art form and I want to share it with everyone. I want women, so often taught that they are second to men, to empower themselves. I want men, so often told that they are nothing but tough, to feel beautiful and loved. I want everyone on the whole spectrum of gender and sexual identities to be able to feel comfortable in their own skins and to know that they are valued.
